A Fragrance of Sacred Remembrance
Long before it was known as Mecca, the city was called Bakkah, a name whispered with reverence, a name that carried the weight of divine history. It was here that the heavens touched the earth, where hearts turned in humility and souls gathered in longing. Bakkah is not merely a place, it is a sanctuary, an axis of devotion, a timeless centre where faith has been poured, bowed, and offered for generations.
This fragrance is our tribute to that sacred ground.
Bakkah is a perfume composed in stillness and respect, guided by the spirit of veneration. At its heart lies an extraordinary gathering of materials, oud aged in silence, rose distilled in reverence, frankincense that recalls the incense of prophets, and rare musk and ambergris that echo the sacred rituals once performed within the very walls of the Kaaba. Each element was chosen with the same care given to sacred rites, measured, purified, and harmonised into a scent worthy of remembrance.
Though its form may resemble a ghaliya, this composition transcends categorisation. We chose the name Bakkah to honour the city’s ancient title, a name steeped in prayer, in scripture, in the collective memory of those who have turned toward it for centuries.
Bakkah is not simply a fragrance. It is a moment in time suspended in scent. A breath of history, held softly on the skin. A pilgrimage distilled into aroma. It carries within it the echo of sacred footsteps, the scent of holy places, and the silence of hearts in prayer.
Offered by Hunayn with the utmost humility, Bakkah is an ode to what is eternal. A fragrance to be worn with reverence and passed on with love. A reminder that holiness still lingers, sometimes, in the stillness of scent.
