Al Multazam is one of them.
A narrow space between the Black Stone and the Door of the Ka’bah. It carries no sign, yet it is known. Its name comes from the root: “to cling, to hold fast, to remain close”.
For generations, people have turned to that space, holding fast, whispering their Du’a, tears flowing unseen. It is there that hearts are laid bare and hopes are quietly placed into the hands of the Divine.
This oil came to us through a quiet and rare opportunity. It was shipped to us directly from its factory in Makkah, this time produced not by our hand, but by those entrusted with sacred work.
It is not inspired by the Ka’bah, it is there. And we did not alter it. We did not blend it. We received it as it was, and we offer it now as it remains.
When I first experienced it, I was struck with silence. In all my years working with some of the worlds finest oils and blends, I’ve never come across an oil so finely balanced, each note in harmony, as if they were never separate to begin with.
It contains oud, musk, rose, and ambergris, yet none of them step forward. They unfold together, slow, certain, grounded. There is no excess. No interruption. Only presence.
When this oil was privately shared with one of the Imams of the Haram, he smelled it, paused, and said:
“It’s as if I’m in the Multazam.”
He knew it. Not by association, but by memory. Having stood for years leading the prayers in that very place, in the stillness before the millions, beneath the shadow of the House, nothing between him and its blessed brickwork.
We named the oil “Al Multazam” because there was no other name to give it. It does not just suggest that place. It carries something of it.
